ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given per Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia and Section 802.03, 04 and 05 of the County of Rockbridge Land Development Regulations that a public hearing will be held by the Rockbridge County Planning Commission on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at or around 7:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room in the County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450, followed by a public hearing by the Board of Supervisors on Monday, May 22, 2017, at or around 6:00 p.m. in the same location to consider the application by Ellen Arthur, 311 Higgins Hollow Road, Lexington Virginia, applying to conditionally rezone .5934 acres from Planned Business District (B-2) to General Business District (B-1). City of Lexington Notice of Public Hearing Amendment of Fiscal Year 2016-2017 Budget Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington City Council at 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 4, 2017 in the first floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices to solicit input on Ordinance 2017-05, amending the budget from $38,892,527 to $39,424,760. This Ordinance proposes to adjust appropriations to provide $160,780 of S.A.F.E.R. grant funding for fire/EMS staffing, $47,855 for state mandated voting equipment, $44,700 for improvements to Colonial Lane, and $75,298 for The Thornhill Sewer Collector improvement project. The budget amendment proposes appropriation of an additional $200,000 for street paving projects. Additionally a $3,600 safety grant is proposed to be appropriated. Noah A. Simon City Manger

CITY OF LEXINGTON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY OF LEXINGTON ZONING ORDINANCE TO UPDATE THE ENTIRE LEXINGTON ZONING ORDINANCE The City of Lexington is considering amending all Articles of the City’s Zoning Ordinance. Public hearings will be conducted by the Lexington Planning Commission from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 26, 2017 in the cafeteria of Waddell Elementary School at 100 Pendleton Place, and again from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 11, 2017 in the first floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, to allow persons to appear and present their views in response to the proposed draft Zoning Ordinance. A copy of the draft Zoning Ordinance, is available for public review and examination between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. in the Planning and Development Department located on the second floor of Lexington City Hall, 300 East Washington Street and the draft can also be viewed online at lexingtonva.gov.
