GLENWOOD COFFEYGlenwood Houston Coffey, 75, of Buena Vista, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at his residence. Born Oct. 18, 1941, in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Finley Houston Coffey and Lillie Vernie Coffey.Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Juanita Armentrout Coffey; two children, Cynthia C. Taylor and Mark G. Coffey; two grandchildren, Brian C. Lewis and wife Samantha, and Tara L. Henson and husband David; five great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; brother, Arnold Lee Coffey; niece, Kimberly Coffey and husband Bobby; nephew, Steve Coffey and wife Angie; sister-in-law, Joyce Robinson; and special family friend Bobby Thomas.A funeral was conducted Friday, Feb. 10, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. ROSALIE ‘DOLLIE’ KAYMay 12, 1925 Feb. 8, 2017 Rosalie Subrt Dollie Kay, 91, of Fairfield died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017. She lived a very full life and always “did it her way.” Rosalie was born in Fox River Grove, Ill., to Rose and Josef Huttag who immigrated from Czechoslovakia. Rosalie graduated from UCLA in 1966 and earned her California teaching credential a year later. She taught at Hobart Elementary in Los Angeles from 1968 to 1989. A woman of many interests and talents, Rosalie was an excellent cook, seamstress, a skilled woodworker, stained glass crafter, artistic painter, skier and equestrienne. A lover of adventure, Rosalie traveled throughout the USA, Canada, Mexico and Europe.For the love of the horse, Dollie and daughter Rosalie Kathleen moved with two horses to Virginia in 2003 where Dollie had designed and built their Craftsman-style home on 10 acres in the village of Fairfield. Rosalie was predeceased by her husband, George W. Hamlin Kay; her brother, Joseph; and her sister, Blanche. Rosalie is survived by her daughters, Rosalie Kathleen and Candace of Pasadena, Calif.; her niece, Cathie Robertson, and nephew Jeffrey Traczyk. Rosalie Kathleen and Candace thank the caregivers at Shenandoah Valley Health & Rehab in Buena Vista and those of Rockbridge Area Hospice for their kindness and care for our Mom. Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory.

JOE HEDRICKJoseph Henry Hedrick, 83, of Natural Bridge went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017. He was born on Aug. 23, 1933, a son of the late William J. B. and Viola Catherine Helmick Hedrick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Junior Hedrick; and two sisters Lorene Pennington and Venora Heitz.He is survived by his wife, Doris T. Hedrick; sons Brian, Mark (Cynthia), Clay (Sue), Randy (Donna), and Scott (Lesley), and daughter Tracey (Dinshaw); grandchildren D.J., Jessica, Hilary, Brittany, Katherine, Sara, Stephanie, Matthew, Jenna, Jacob, Aiden, and Pelaina; and several great grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother, Herbert, and sisters Lucille Harr and Sandra Patch, as well as multiple nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was an alumni and avid supporter of West Virginia University. His career of 34 years as a forest ranger included 23 years on the Jefferson National Forest.A funeral was conducted Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Edward Rigg officiating. Entombment followed at Green Hill Mausoleum.

PAUL TOLLEYPaul Blair Tolley, 60, of Lexington died Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at his home. Born June 27, 1956 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Henry Blair Tolley and Frances Knick Tolley. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Linda T. Tarris. Surviving are his brother, Timothy Lewis Tolley, and wife Cornelia Salas Tolley of Beverly, W.Va.; three nephews, Jonathan B. Tarris, Jeremy M. Tolley and Zachary E. Tolley; and a niece, Jennifer Tarris Huffman. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery with Dr. William Klein officiating. A memorial service will be held at Lexington Presbyterian Church at a later date. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory.
